Hi everyone, hope you are all well.
Today I wanted to share with you an app called Roger Voice.
This app is a way of communication for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, so they are not held back and are able to make day to day calls like everyone else.
Roger Voice breaks down communication barriers by making voice calls visually accessible. How? Through instant and real-time text captioning, or by video calls with a sign language interpreter.
And it’s 24/7, everywhere in the world.
Quoted from the site
“Oliver Jeannel, deaf entrepreneur born in Los Angeles, Olivier is profoundly deaf since age 2. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he came to France to continue his studies, where he discovered a lack of accessibility for persons with hearing bss. After a career in telecommunications, in 2011 he discovered the power of speech recognition engines and realized that if phone conversations are captioned in real time then he could make phone calls like everyone else.
C’est de La’ qu’est n’e Roger voice. Le but?
Braking communication barriers every day”
With this app you can call anybody! The app is free for basic but then they do different plans after which I will leave their web address so you can go and have a look.
The app is available on google, iPhone, windows.
I personally am not deaf or hard of hearing but if I was I can see how this could really help people, with communication taking a lot of frustration away which is why I thought It would be a good one to share with you this week!
I hope this has helped in some way weather for you or someone you know of and i would love to know your feedback if you have used this app or know someone who is using this app.
Thank you for reading!
