ICE (In Case Of An Emergency)

Hi, hope your all doing well! This week I wanted to share with you something I’ve used for a while, but I don’t believe many people know about it! It’s called ICE (In Case of Emergency)

ICE is an app that you can download onto your phone, which stays on the front of your screen even when your phone is locked, the app is pretty cool really you can store information on their such as what conditions you suffer with, what medications you are taking and who your next of kin is and so on.

Also, you can put ICE next to contacts that the emergency services can call if they need to i.e., mother, father, sister, friend ect.

This app was designed by Bob Brotchie, the following information is from there site and explains why Bob Brotchie made the app.

“the concept of ICE- In Case of Emergency was created by former paramedic, Bob Brotchie, in 2004. It then went on to receive worldwide recognition in 2005 and is still used by millions of mobile phone users today! By adding ICE to your mobile phone, it allows paramedics on the scene to identify you, treat you and be able to contact your next of kin immediately. Also, carers and parents can relax knowing that should anything happen to their loved ones, medics will have all the information they need to give them the right treatment, and they will know who to call first.”

They also have other story’s about how ice can save life’s if you visit their website, I think this is truly amazing and an important thing to have on your phone, so please share to as many people as you can.

This app also makes it easy for the emergency services to to find out vital information about you i.e age, dob, medical conditions anything you feel they may need to know in an emergency.

It’s free to download and use, I personally have it and have had to use it a couple of times.

I feel this is something really important as most people these days have mobile phones and it is something very easy and simple to use and I feel more people need to know about this, you never know it could save a life!

I hope this has helped someone I would love to hear your feedback!

There are also ID bracelets and necklaces that you can buy off of many sites which state on them about any illnesses or allergys that you may have , I will be doing a post soon on this in more detail !

Thank you for reading !!

You can download ICE on Android , IPhone and Windows.
